What is Diversity?

Diversity in itself is a concept that certainly varies from place and culture. However, its uniting meaning is the acknowledgment and celebration of our differences. Every person comes with their own individual history of experiences. Our personal story that shapes our identity is influenced by our ethnicity, gender identity, sexuality, age, education, bodily (dis-)abilities, religion, personal values, attitudes, or where we grew up. 

To recognize such differences - and instead of seeing them as divisive - these differences should be seen as an indefinite, creative, and profitable resource for creating togetherness and strength.
